MPEG-0

Hey Folks:
MPEG-0 here (existing 12-year D* customer w/Sony HD-300 receiver, 3-LNB dish, OTA antenna and Total Choice No Locals package w/HD access).
I've gotten TWO separate calls in the past 24 hours from D*, trying to get me to upgrade my old dish & receiver. They said that D* has decided that, since the MPEG-2 to MPEG-4 switch was D*'s doing, that they'll switch out my dish and receiver for no charge, and now, with NO 2-YEAR commitment. Has this corpo-giant finally smartened up?
Has anyone else gotten this offer? Or, is it a brand new scam? I'm sure you can see why I'm a bit skeptical, since the last time D* did me any favors was sometime back in the nineties (I forget for what). It's also possible that they're only extending this offer to customers (like myself) who had previously rejected the offer because of the 2-yr commitment.
I told the second CSR that I'd do the deal, but I'd like an HR21 instead of the H21, and an AM21 so I can get my HD locals. She wasn't familiar with the AM21, but said I could get the HR21 for $119 ($99 for the H21 plus $20 for "shipping").
Any thoughts on this one?
