Does anyone know why only about half of the games on FOXCN on 427 ( Cincinnati Reds) are carried in HD? This includes home games. I also receive STO and all of the Indians games this year have been available in HD.

The Indians and STO apparently have the capabilities to have all games in HD, and provide Dish with the HD feed. I think this is the case with most teams, and very few have all of their games in HD. Here in Milwaukee, the Brewers added more HD games this year than they had last year, but it's still not all of the games. I'm guessing we'll see all games in HD in the next few years as HD becomes the norm. bigbeer 05-30-2008, 11:58 AM FSN said last week that they are planning on going HD 24/7 in the first quarter of next year. That would be :yippee:  Hokie74 05-31-2008, 07:23 AM Odd that they would only do some of the games in HD. One would figure that if they had the equipment and network to do the games they would just convert at once to HD, at least for all of the home games. I found the schedule on the Reds web site. 71 out of 145 games are in HD. The schedule is here: http://cincinnati.reds.mlb.com/cin/downloads/y2008/FSN_schedule_08.pdf Nightowl 06-09-2008, 07:39 PM I know in the case of the Red Sox game the other night, it was on NESN, but the HD channel had the Dish logo with "Check back often to see if your team is broadcasting in HD." It was a home game, of course it was in HD. But Dish wasn't showing it. Very annoying. CreedFan818 06-12-2008, 08:19 AM According to the schedule I have, the Brewers were supposed to be in HD on FSN Wisconsin last night. Dish only had the SD feed. I would assume FSN WI would supply Dish with the HD feed. I think I can blame Dish for not showing it in HD. It could be because of limited bandwidth, and perhaps Dish feels the large market teams are more "important" than our teams here in flyover land. | |
