As of now, WGN-HD isn't a national channel like the SD version is. Dish and DTV subsribers alike are waiting on this.

I'm not a Cubs fan, just a baseball fan. Actually I'm a Twins fan, so I can watch White Sox games and root for the other team. More baseball in HD is always a good thing. WGN was on a recent list to be in the next group to go HD. I believe they said early summer, but that's kinda vague. It may look like early summer on the calendar, but it doesn't feel like it outside.

BigBeer, where are you located? Because here on the beaches of North Carolina, it has been looking and feeling like summer since April.

WGN is in HD in Chicago right now. But I haven't heard of plans to take the HD version national. Right now on a HDTV that channel is pretty unwatchable. I don't think I've watched anything on WGN since Jan 2007.

I feel your pain, Shady. I'm an Orioles fan and still waiting on MASN HD. I think I've seen two Orioles games in HD in the last two years. Both were on ESPN HD. It seems like there's a Yankee or Redsox game in HD all the time. This flood of the hated NY/BOS stuff drives me nuts!:banghead:

Minnesota. We've had a late coming summer this year.

I've spent alot of my life living in Florida and don't want to go back. Too hot, too much human garbage. I've been to North Carolina a few times and really liked it, but I also like my house to stay where it is, with the roof on it and no water in it. Most people have no interest living in Minnesota or Wisconsin and I hope it stays that way. I live right on the St.Croix River, which is the border, and we have alot of great, different weather with beautiful changing seasons and some crappy weather, too. But we also have great beer, cheese and brats. A simple life is the best one. If the weather sucks, watch some HD TV.

I don't know how anyone can live in Cali. No way. Not for me.

Yeah, you can keep that area of the country where you have only 2 1/2 months of good weather a year. As for hurricanes in North Carolina, they don't happen every year, but I believe Minnesota has a blizzard (or two) every year without fail that you have to dig out from under. Our last one (in 2006) lasted all of 5 hours and did hardly any damage as it was a category 1. I've never even had my DTV dish out of place with any hurricane.

We usually have about 5 to 6 months of above 60 degree high days, but winter does seem like it's really long some years. I lived in Florida, so I've seen what hurricanes can do to the coast. And we really don't get near as much snow as they do out east because of the great lakes effect. Last year we had 1 day where we got 10 inches. Other than that I don't remeber more than 5 or 6 in one day anytime recently. We also don't get the freezing rain here like they do south of here. I'll take 20 degrees and snowing over 30 and raining any day.
