Which fiberoptic cable from monoprice.com will i need?

Went to monoprice.com and saw alot of fiberoptic cables that all seemed to say the same thing except like ST/ST, ST/SC, ect. Whats the differences and which one will i need.

Nope. Just trying to get the info i need cause when i setup this system i wana do it once and let it be setup for a long, long time so im being thourough. Not trying to make a bunch of threads for no reason and they all have different things involved in what i asked and asked about. One thing about threads also is that for instance like last nite we had a nice discussion on the hdmi vs component and it was lenghty and now today i had a few new questions on for instance which fiberoptic to use since there are a million ones on monoprice and they have ST/SC which i dont even know what the abbreation is. Now usually i know once alot of people replied and discussed the thread they mite now look back at that thread so asking a ? that doesnt deal with the same thing or even if it did it might not really get looked at by many or any people lol so thats y i posted somewhere else.

To answer you question, it doesnt matter. Im not sure why monoprice labels them differnt, and you shouldnt really care. A fiberoptic is a fiberoptic, the cheapest will do fine.

the fiber optic i bought back in 01 has just one end on each end look like all of mono's has 2 on each end lol. They looked diff too is y i asked and i didnt know what SC/ST OR ST/ST was. Unless the optical and coaxial looks diff and i had the one with one connecter on each end?

OPTICAL TOSLINK looks like a box or something. im talking about a cable for audio sound. Unless im meaning to say optical or coaxial which are the same cables right? is fiber optic a diff cable all together.

No...optical toslink is a fiber optic cable used for digital audio devices. The cable is made with fiber optical threads.
Digital coaxial cables are basically the same in function but look like a standard RCA cable (like a composite a.k.a. red, white, & yellow or component red, green, blue). Digital audio cable may have the connectors of an RCA cable but is constructed differently.
Either type will work well, but check your equipment to make sure you can use either. They cannot be mixed (i.e. fiber optic to coax) but if you can use them, they are much better than the old red & white audio cables.

You definitely DO NOT want an ST/ST or ST/SC fiber optic cable. Those cables are for fiber optic networks, not home theater or audio components. You want an Optical Toslink cable. Look under Audio Cables - Optical Toslink. Better yet, here's a link to the page for all Optical Toslink cables.

This is a link to a three foot cable with metal housing on each end. I use one of these to connect my 722 to my A/V processor. They do come in several lengths.
