what the he;; with dish

great, i suppose all the commercials about dish not having as many HD channels as direct made them add some new ones, problem is they dropped some. what a bunch of morons, i can't wait until my contract is up, no more dish.

added good ones and dropped trash IMO.

I can't believe that anyone got Dish because of Voom, and why they would cancel because they took them away and added better channells is beyond me???????????

added better channels, like what, the smith channel, oh well thats why theres a selection, to each there own. i can everything i have now, and more, including a dvr for $15.00 less a month.

You probably won't pay less, you'll pay more, the DVR will suck, and you'll have to pay a couple hundred $ up front to switch. Good luck with that. You're why customer service is a crappy job.

boy, didn't know that this dish forum consisted of nothing but dish network employees. im still going with direct tv. all you need to do is watch tv and see all the programs that are brought to you in HD by direct tv.

You have it backwards.

Yeah, where's the HD? For most of the new channels. None or very little HD.

I would trade back Monsters & Rave for these new channels in a heartbeat but I am not in Cablevision country so I can't.

Because 80% of the "new" channels aren't in HD or have limited HD content. At least VOOM was HD 24-7, with no commercials. The only thing i had a problem with Voom was it repeated a bit too much. That's why I hope they come back with like 5 channels that have the entire VOOM network all mixed up. With new content each week. This way it'll save on bandwidth and it'll make ppl like me happy:D

Better channels they all look like sh$$ with the exception of Smith. This was a bad choice by Dish and VOOM is what made Dish more unique. Now they are just another face in the crowd.

The DVR does not suck. It may not be as good as Dish's DVR and/or may operate a little differently (just a matter of preference), but it does not suck. In fact, I have a TiVO and an HR20 DVR, I prefer the HR20 over the TiVO. And BTW, I got my DVR for free, had it over a year, and never had a problem with it.

i agree with you dodger. i have a hr20 and a hr21. one i got free and the other i got for $99 special. never had major issues, except for my hr21, they replaced in because it had a bad tuner. since then no issues..................

D and Kung Fo very good attractions.
