Pioneer 5070HD - TV Clock Problem

Ever since the March 2008 time change, the clock time on my PDP-5070HD has been 1 hour behind the actual time, but the on-screen TV guide schedule was correct. Because of this situation my programming "reminders" have been out of sync with the timed channel changes.

After some thought, I called the Pioneer plasma support line [800-421-1625] and found they were aware of this problem and they have a "fix" for it.

The best news is that Pioneer will pay an authorized service center to perform this fix in your home. :yippee: My service center has ordered the software, and will apply the fix after it arrives.

I'm not sure if other Pioneer plasmas are affected , or if there is a time limit on this support, but I thought I'd let others know so they can check their PDUs and contact Pioneer.

Good luck...

Why dont you simply go into the TVs menu and set the clock?...
Daylight savings time is obviously set to off...

Good question. The answer is that the manual clock setting function is disabled because I have a CableCard installed and use the interactive program guide.
