Newbie needs recommendation for a CRT TV ^^

I have been trying to find a CRT TV that fits my stringent requirements, but in the end, only manage to find vague product descriptions. :confused:
You see, i want to hook up my PS2 to a TV with 1080i support, so that i can see whats all the fuss about running Gran Turismo 4 in 1080i. :bowdown:
At the same time, i don't want a LCD TV that badly scales my 480i games to the display's navtive resolution. What's worst, alot of LCD TV comes with heavy noise reduction and other post-processing features that not only makes my PS2 look like PS1, they keep making me miss my buttons in Guitar Hero. DIE Latency, DIE!!! :banghead:
Thus, before paying for a CRT TV, i will double check with my GunCon :D , to ensure 0(and i mean ZERO!!!) latency.

So i hope you guys can recommend me a CRT TV that comes with the following specifications:

-must support 480i 480p 576i 1080i
-must support both Y'PrPb and RGB with Sync-on-Green thru Component Input
-must automagically switch between all the above picture formats
-must have 0ms latency

-preferably support 720p
-preferably around 29" or larger
-preferably non-widescreen

-nice-to-have 576p support
-nice-to-have more than 1 component input

Any suggestions greatly appriciated. Thanks in advanced!

I think you will be hard pressed to find something like that, this day and age. It might be better for you in the long run to consider a plasma.

Just like loves2watch said, it may be tough finding something like that nowadays. You could check your local craigslist to see if there are any deals but then you have to deal with a used set. Any reason you are so set on a old school TV? In the past I've read guys around here say that their HDTV did wonders to the PQ on some of their PS2 games. Just stay away from LCD if your worried about response time. Other than that, any 32" - 37" widescreen HDTV should do just fine for you. Plus it will futureproof your investment in case you get a 360 or PS3 down the road.

I like the Sony CRTs with the Super Fine Pitch tubes for gaming. I picked two Sony HDTVs off craigslist a while back. One with the SFP tube and one with the Hi Scan tube. The prices keep dropping on all HDCRTs so you may find a nice one pretty cheap.

I don't think you will be able to find a new one. Sony quit making them and most of the existing ones are in people's homes.

If you are serious about a CRT for gaming try and locate one of the 900s with the SFP tube. They really are a marked improvement in picture quality over the sets with the Hi Scan tube.
