Black out during live sports????

Hi. was watching the Las Vegas race yesterday (live) and occasionally on a camera change the screen would go dark then the picture would return to normal. When I say dark I mean it was likre watching the screen through extremely dark sunglasses. Is this normal with High def? Thank you

Sounds more like the network was having trouble with their signals.

Did you get a info display pop-up like the Input number or something like when you turn your tv on? If not, it was probably the Network and not your tv.

It happens monetarily and I noticed on NFL games also. Maybe it is FOX. I would think if it is network others would have experienced it.
