Sharp BD-HP20u Blu ray question

Hi: I recently got this Blu Ray player and noticed something. I have my TV setting looking just right for me on my Sharp 42 inch and when I put in a DVD (not Blu ray) things change. The picture become slightly fuzzy, little darker and redder. I have to make corrections in the picture setting on the TV. Since I'm new to this, is this how a Blu Ray player shows a DVD on a LCD tv? I'm thinking is this a defect in the player? I've tried it on many different dvd's.

you probably have to adjust the picture again on the DVD input. By switching inputs your set might be back to factory settings. Most HDTV's have customizable video settings for each input.
