PS3 Blu-ray Remote

Ok, so ever since the Warner announcement I took a step back from HDM and stopped buying altogether. I decided that day, then and there, that I would not buy another disc (Blu-ray or HD DVD) until one of them won.

Well, thats happened (yay!). I am now fully Blu-ray. :yippee:

Anyways onto the topic: Ever since I bought my first Blu-ray a few months ago I have been using the PS3 controller to do all my "remoting" for movies. Now that I am going to be investing more into Blu-ray I'd very much like to nix the controller and go with a standard remote. I was originally planning on buying the Sony Bluetooth one for the PS3 but I have heard nothing good about it on the intertubes, of course I trust you guys more than random review sites.

So ya. . . any suggestions? Should I keep the PS3 controller? The Bluetooth one?

Thanks!

If you have an old ps2 remote control with the controller socket dongle there's a way you can use a usb adapter to use the IR ps2 remote. Google it :what:

I purchased the blu tooth remote with my ps3 and LOVE it, its a quality piece of kit. The only problem (minor) ive found with my remote is that it seems to go through batteries a bit quicker than my other remotes (although it could be that I use it a hell of a lot more than my other remotes)

It's well worth $20 not to fumble around with the Sixaxis.

I'll agree with the other two people above me. The PS3 Bluetooth Remote works great.

I haven't tried to Bluetoothe remote, but I wanted IR command capablity and the ability to use my universal remote control so I purchased the Nyko Blue Wave remote some months ago and I am happy with that ability. It does require a USB adapter and it can't power on or power off the player, but otherwise does what I want.
