If my projector does 1080p/24 and I have few SD DVDs, is A35 the best choice?

I have heard the pic is sharper on the A35 than on the XA2...other than upconversion and 1080p/60 capability, is there any advantage the XA2 has over the A35?

the XA2 is the best HD DVD player on the market right next to the Onkyo version.

The XA2 does a better job with up-scaling SD DVD's over the A35 due to the fact you have more control over the PQ. Though the A35 still does a fine job and I am very happy with mine.

I don't know if you will see a difference in PQ & AQ between the XA2 & the A35. Just get the one which matches your budget. Both do 1080p/24p & both have Hi Bitrate Audio via HDMI & both have 5.1 Analog out for older digital receivers which is a PLUS IMO. And if you don't care about the Hi Bitrate Audio, then the A30 is a great choice too, because it also does 1080p/24p.
