The Ten HD DVD

PQ: 4/5
AQ: 3/5
Movie" 2.5/5

Not a very funny movie, really. They take a stab at the Ten Commandments and stories showing how they are broken or help up... it was almost funny at times but never really made me laugh.

The audio is very average as is the picture quality. This isn't the type of movie to really show off the benefits of HD.

how come 4/5 for PQ if it's only average? I've ordered this mainly to help support indie HD studios, something I believe is very important over the coming months. But the film does look worth a watch too, and given the amazing ratings from here that people gave superbad and such as being "hilarious" I'm hoping I'll find this funny seeing as I found Superbad incredibly... um... Superbad? :p

Oops, good catch, I meant to fix that PQ back to 3/5. Like you, I enjoy helping Indie studios.

As for how funny, I will await your review... maybe my funny bone needs a sharp kick in the arse! I didn't find Superbad all that funny, but laughed hard at Chuck and Larry... :what:

I was exactly the same! As I watched those film last week (UK releases) and wasn't expecting much from Chuck, yet thought it was great, then Superbad with it's "The best teen movie since American Pie!" slapped across the top, Blu boyz raving in here etc I thought it would be great, and basically found it meh.

I just picked up Good Luck Chuck (on SD ) and hope it is funny! I laughed my ass off at Something About Mary... and many like that (several Adam Sandler movies).. but Superbad never got there for me. I posted a review of Superbad on the BD review side and was scoffed at cuz I favor HD DVD.. A few others did agree with me though.

My brother watched The Ten the other night and told me thought it sucked! I hadn't told him my opinion.

maybe my decision to buy it wasn't the best, lol I won't find out for like a month because it takes that long for amazon.com orders on the cheapest shipping to reach the UK.

I do like satirical (is that the right word?) takes on religion and such though so u never know, I do also have a really bad taste in movies it would seem  the latest casualty of it being The Big Lebowski, wasn't impressed with the first hour at all, will give it another chance at a later date, but I really got bored.

Lots of people love Big Lebowski, I never really saw what the fuss was about... Now take Life of Brian.. History of the World... movie like that hurt me bad!

The Big Lebowski is one of my all time favorite comedies. So is It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World and Caddyshack.
Not a Blazing Saddles fan though.

sounds like we have pretty much the same taste in comedy/sense of humour then. I watched Accepted at my mates this weekend, have to say that had some genuine laugh out loud moments.

It's great, I hadn't heard of it either, but assumed it was down to being a low key release here in the UK or something. It's basically about a guy who doesn't get into any colleges, so as a scam starts up his own to fool his parents and it all just spirals from there.

Has the big kid from Superbad in it too playing what would appear to be exactly the same part only set a year later.
