ok just saw Next on Hd dvd......
the PQ was 5/5..very clear and vibrante..espcial the atomic bomb sequence..
The AQ i'd say 4/5 it was good but not great and thats listing via optice..with my reciever(Yamaha) decoding DTS...next does have True Hd so i can just imagine the Aq with that
The extras 5/5...lots off stuff....
The story i thought was great..espcial jessica Biel...theres a scene where she just got out the shower..omg
The Wow factor 4/5.....
I'd recomend this....movie for sure

And you didn't select DD TrueHD because...?

Because TrueHD will not pass through optical, you would need an HDMI capable reciever for that. So you can pick TrueHD in the dvd set up menu and even if your reciever could decode TrueHD if you run it via optical all you get is a down mixed DTS track with the Toshiba A2 or a DD track with the toshiba A3..
I hope that makes sense, basically you will not be able to hear any lossless or HD audio encodes like True HD, DTS-HD, LPCM and the likes using optical only..

I liked this movie as well. The scene where they are walking aorund the grand canyon with the waterfalls was simply awesome
and any movie with Jessica gains a few extra stars in my mind!!

I am buying this movie today and I cant wait to see J.Biel in it.. Oh soo hot plus this movie looks like it can actually be pretty good which is just a bonus for me.

if u look at my set ups in my signature in the living room i have a yamaha reciever that only has optic...so it was dts...in my room i have a onkyo which has the hdmi etc...so thats why i did'nt watch it in dthd

I bought this one on release date and have watched it twice. Great flick, Nick Cage's part suits him to a T! J. Biel's part is a nice distraction as well.
