DVD quality from 722

When making a DVD with an SD DVD recorder from the 722 DVR, what is the best quality you can get? (for example 480i, 480p etc.)

480i but if you have a progressive scan DVD player what you see will be 480p and of course that will be upscaled by your TV to it's native resolution be it 720 or 1080.

On MPEG2 HD channels you can still pull 1080i or 720p, but not with a DVD recorder via S-video or component.
