Dish System Question

When doing the 6,1,1 check I see the "signal meter has been modified due to a software upgrade" notice. The meter definitely shows a lower signal strength than in the past. Satellite 119 now indicates a signal strength of 76. A few nights ago the picture went blank for a few seconds and a "weak signal" notice appeared for 2 seconds and then the picture reappeared. First and only time this has ever happened. Has anyone else experienced something like this?

76 on the new meter scale is great. Signal strengths did not change, only the calibration of the signal meter on the receiver.

Maybe a bird sat on your lnb.

Same thing and agree with above that it is not really a decrease in actual signal strength, the scale is just different.

Have you ever measure signal strength during a snow/rain storm? If so, what were your results?

If you remember they had signal readings of 110. Just makes the numbers more understandable if 100 is supposed to be full signal.
