Does anyone had a Sling Box?

I have a Sling Box that I used on my old receiver it worked great. I now have the ViP 722 DVR, its not listed on the Sling Box setup. I need to know how to get the right IR code, and which remote control to use on my laptop. I’m going away the first of the year, and want to watch my Dish while I’m gone.

If nobody knows I guess I’ll call Sling Box, I would rather not be on hold forever if I don’t have to.

IR codes for 622 are generally the same as for Dish 301, 510, etc. I have used them all with my TiVo without changing codes.

With the VIP 722 DVR, can Sling Box work with the second (slave) TV? The second TV has no satellite receiver of its own so I am wondering if the Sling Box must be connected to the VIP 722 DVR and, if so, does that only allow it to be connected to the main TV.

Output TV2 is UHF control only. Slingbox and Tivo use IR for control, so they must be on TV1. Perhaps with Dish buying Sling, they will rectify this problem or put out an IR to UHF converter.

I had to put it on TV1 on my 622.

Now it is on my 211 and it works even better because of the way screen aspect rations are handled by the SD output.
