Sky HD settings

Hi there,

My dad just got a Sky HD box and when he goes to an HD channel I really can't tell the difference - I dont think its HD.
He has an HD ready TV which is brand new and the Sky box is brand new. Supposedly, the Sky guy has set it up, but it was late in the day when he turned up and was in a rush to go home andso might not have done it right!

What shall I check, bearing in mind the HD Sky channels look the same as the normal ones?

What is 'Sky HD', you are probably right that the setup is wrong. But you need to get help from people who are familiar what you have and not people who use Dish Network.

Sky is a UK channel. I don't think anyone over here could get it (though I wouldn't mind being able to subscribe to that one!)

there is Setanta channel on Dish Network that is supposed to turn HD, but you probably know about it............

I gather ESPN are very interested in setting up a European channel with getting the Premier League rights seen as a very attractive proposition so we might get to the Premier League in HD before too long.

I'm sure the 20 chairmen/owners are so happy they can hardly count.
