My Philips tv only has only one Hdmi port. I wanted to be able to view my blu ray player, so I bought a Philips Hdmi 3-1 switcher but my Vip211 receiver doesn't seem to be compatible with it. Does anyone know of a switcher that is compatible with this receiver.(It did work with my vip722 receiver)

There are literally hundreds of HDMI switchers available, all over the internet plus ebay, someone is bound to make a good one. People here seem to recomend monoprice.com

Dump the switch:
use hdmi for your Blu-Ray,
use component for your 211,
you won't lose any pq

Fred is right, no difference in pq between HDMI and component BUT if you still want an inexpensive 2X1 manual switcher get one at monoprice.com . Great prices and fast shipping. They had there's on sale last weekend for $16.xx. I think the regular price is only $18.xx . I've got one, works fine.

I'm using mine with a 622. It's just a simple manual switcher, can't imagine it wouldn't work with your 211???

Ditto on the component cable for tv, and using hdmi for your blueray
player. I have a 211 and it works fine with hdmi, and component.
