Newbie here.
I have a Samsung HD 50' DLP TV and it was purchased brand new on October 12th 2005. So it's two years and two months old. This t.v. has been amazing. It's a rear projection t.v. and the the HD programming is crystal clear.
Have not had one problem with picture quality until two days ago when I noticed a three inch grey bar running down the left side of the screen. The picture is still very sharp but the grey bar is a problem.
I'm pretty sure this t.v. came with a one year warranty. I decided against getting any additional warranties. When I purchased this t.v. I was told that if anything goes it would most likely be the lamp and that on this model it could be easily changed.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I should go about resolving this grey bar issue? The only thing I have done is unplugged the set to see if I could reset something but no go.
I'll take any advice you have and probably put a call into Samsung also.
Thx. Frank
