ok, newbie here, i have a Niko OTP-3211W 32-Inch HD-Ready LCD TV with DVI Input TV and I have had it for a year or so.
I moved to Santa Fe, NM and currently have dish with the HD/DVR. It seems that I can be watching an HD broadcast and it can be sporadic on the quality I get. Watching ESPN or NFL channel or HBO in HD can be great for 10 minutes then i get some green splotching on the grass where the pictures sucks. I really don't think it is the TV as when I lived in Oakland, CA and used the TV with Comcast HD it seemed like the quality was better. Also, we originally had Comcast HD in Santa Fe and the HD didn't seem as clear as it was in Oakland using Comcast? I am upgrading to the Samsung LN-T4665F 46" LCD HDTV Flat Panel Television with Integrated ATSC Tuner and 1080p Resolution,
I suspect New Mexico just has crappy quality but that doesn't make any sense since we are now using Dish Satellite, that may have been the case for Comcast - we still can't get CBS in HD - no HD for the Super Bowl last year - crazy.
Any ideas? When I get the Samsung am I going to get much better quality? I sure hope so. I would say I am generally pretty disappointed with my HD quality on a consistent basis. Are these just normal problems with HD?
Thanks,
Scott
