Just Installed An Indoor Antenna. How Do I Scan For Hdtv Channels? I Have A Non-hi Def Receiver And The Antenna Is Connected Directly To The Tv. Do I Have To Wait Till A Channel Is Being Broadcast In Hd At Prime Time Tonight? Any Suggestions Would Be Greatly Appreciated.

If your tv has a ATSC tuner then all you should have to do is go to
menu of tv and do auto scan of channels and it should pick up whatever you are able to receive via you indoor ant.

Got It Working But Was Only Able To Pickup Abc. I Think I Need To Invest In A Stronger Antenna. I Live In Apartment, So I Would Definatelly Need To Go With An Indoor Antenna.

You can also use a common antenna system, if available... HD signals are analog radio waves just like SDTV, no such thing as an 'HD' antenna.
What kind of signals you can pull off the antenna depends on the type of tuner you have in your TV... unless you have an ATSC digital tuner you'll only get SDTV. What is the make & model of your TV?

Decent digital tuner, but you may have problems with an indoor antenna. Check www.antennaweb.org to find what stations are available, type of antenna to use, and directions to transmitters.
If you need to use a directional antenna you won't be able to find all your channels with a channel scan, since some will be in the wrong direction. You'll have to hand enter them somehow...

Also check to see if your antenna has an amp & pre-amp.
