HDTVtoMPEG2 is your new best friend
I convert ".ts" files to MPEG-2 all the time. .ts files are actually just a special MPEG-2 file. You don't have to fully re-encode the file. You can convert a file in a few minutes. It think it has to do with the way the file is formatted.
I downloaded the HDTVtoMPEG2 app, but when I "Add" one of the TS files on the HDD of my PVR, I get an error indicating "Could not find a Channel!", and I can get no further. Any advice/suggestions?
