3.74 GB (4,020,715,520 bytes)
I want to record him on DVD recorder and play on:

DVD VIDEO PLAYER Philips DVP5986K (external HD DVD player)
in 1080 resolution ofcourse!

Any sugestion how to deal with that?

Well, without blu-ray or HD DVD, you can't play in 1080, except for upconverting.

I understand....yes you are right...but I have small production line in China for TFT TV-set and sometime I need to show 1080P capabilities of my devices to my customers!
I found that the best way to show him is to play HD disk with beauty girls!
I have all kind of equipment for 1080P presentation….pattern generators…HD DVD with picture for calibration…. but nothing with success like “BD” from computer!
I want to buy original “BD”! But, I fried, no legal possibility to import in China!

I think it is legal!
But HD DVD (or any kind of media) with "nudity" material is forbiden!
Very interesting .....country with the bigest level of prostitution in the world (i think....because bigest number of people :) ) have a very strong rules about anu level of nakedness!!!

bluray&hddvd players were sold in zhongguancun,beijing. also there are many titles. of course they were illegally imported.

Due to some of yr mis-appliances!y'h to go a simple way
such as;

Note:asking y that,is yr "BD" 1080i or 1080p???
(probably should be 1080i)

-Burn-in yr file/files to a DVD
-Than play it thru yr PC!!
--in such case;y should be connected yr PC to Panel(Plasma/LCD)with appropiated cables;
GCard out>>with DVI-HDMI cable/DVI-DVI(only transmit Video signal)

For Audio signal trasnmit;use yr PCs sound system/other
kind of audio systems(this is so easy)

--Use fr Playback>>MediaPlayerClassic or VLCPlayer etc.

note:if yr GCard competible,no problem,such as use
ATI2600/2900 or equivalent nVidia Cards too+

Right, because Chinese authorities never, ever open people's mail to see if they are illegally importing prohibited items . . . .:huh (As you mentioned, it's ironic, because when we were in Hong Kong it seemed like you could get a bootleg of any video ever that does not show boobies.) :censored

Does your computer have component video or HDMI out, that you could connect directly to your TV? Otherwise you'll need an HD burner, I would think.
