If you want a budget brand name universal player for SACD/DVD-A/DVD-V, I think this discontinued DVD-756 is a great deal. It is made by Funai for Denon and is a 2005 model. An eBay seller is offering the player at an asking price of $99 plus shipping so most US purchasers can buy it delivered for less than $110. I am surprised we are seeing so many new universal players released since SACD and DVD-A software is not being released often now. Denon replaced this player with the DVD-1930CI/DVD-757 which has already been replaced by the DVD-1940CI.

It is described as new with Denon warranty and I believe that is correct. Of course if you have no need for SACD/DVD-A, there are less expensive DVD-V players with comparable performance. It uses the Faroudja FLI2310 so beware if you have a display that does poorly with that chip. I actually slightly prefer the Oppo universal players, but if you want a more recognizable brand name, this is the best deal I have ever seen for new with warranty.
