Programming Guide Question

I have a 622 receiver and 322 receiver. I have lost the program guide for OTA channels on my 622 receiver. The guide simply says 'Digital Service' on each of the channels.

BTW, I had to do a reboot on the 622 after I received a message to run a 'check switch'. I ran a check switch and still could not acquire a signal on the 622 so I did a reboot and received a programming download plus satellite signal. Since this happened, my OTA guide indicates 'Digital Service". I need advice. Thanks.

First thing to do is unplug the receiver for at least 30 seconds. reconnect and see if behavior is corrected.

Disconnect ALL cables from dish and repeat check switch (this clears the matrix, then reconnect and repeat check switch.

Failing that, check your signal strength on 129 sat. May need to realign your dish.

Thanks for the info. I rebooted the receiver again using the power switch located under the right front panel and then ran another check switch which checked out ok. This time the program guide download took longer than before and fixed the problem. Apparently I did not receive a complete download after the first reboot.

I have been prompted to run a check switch several times in the last two months. Is this common? One time I cancelled out and the system seemed to be ok. Is it important to run a check switch everytime I am prompted too?
