Verizon FiOS Internet has been ranked first in the new PC World Best and Worst ISPs survey. Offering an all-digital fiber-optic network to customer's homes, the firm's FiOS service achieved the highest ratings in all of the survey's categories, including overall satisfaction, reliability and download speed. John Wimsatt, senior vice president for Verizon Telecom Marketing, said that the company was "honored" to have been ranked so highly in the magazine's list of ISPs.
"Customers appreciate the difference our all-fiber network brings by delivering faster speed, better reliability, more advanced services, and superior entertainment and online experiences," he commented. Verizon currently offers the service, which was also included in PC World's 100 best products of 2007 list, to over 1,700 communities in 16 states across the US.
In related news, Verizon recently expanded its high speed broadband internet service to cover a number of additional areas of Illinois, including Brimfield, Chrisman and New Holland.
