I can'r believe I am the only one experiencing these issues but I don't see any other posts on them.

I have gone thru 3 different replacements from Dish and just got a
4th ( new unit ) and still having the issues.

issue #1 when skipping ahead or back the audio takes 3-5 seconds to catch up to the video so if someone is talking you miss whatever they are saying. I find myself skipping back watching part of a commerical just to see the show without audio lost.

issue #2 I notice mostly on Local channels I am getting the error box # 316 ( some of the recorded data is missing ) on my recordings all the time.

Is anyone else having these issues? I noticed the audio problems when skipping ahead and forward when they went to software version L403 and it's still doing it with L405

The audio may be a muting circuit on your stereo or your TV. The other sounds like you may have low signal strength for locals.
Both are just guesses...

4 622's all with the same problem tells me the problem is external to the 622.

#2 - your antenna is too weak. You need a better antenna or a pre-amp on your current antenna. It is always best to have the strongest antenna you can, and only amplify if necessary.

I pay to get my locals thru Dish so aren't the local signal coming from them and not my roof ant?

OK everyone together.....DUH!!!!

I should have thought before posting, I realize that my local digital channels come from my roof ant. and those are the ones I was having trouble with. I repositioned my ant and now my signals on all are about 80-90.

hope that takes care of the missing recorded data problem.

My OTA provides great signal strength to the TV tuner, but the 622 manages to knock that down considerably. The OTA tuner in the 622 is mediocre at best. Makes you wonder how much we are missing on the sat. channels!?!?

The tuner in my 622 is second only to the tuner in my 211 - go figure. I have a total of 6 ATSC tuners.
