I have Dish and a rooftop antenna. I have one receiver a channel 14 modulator so I can watch Dish in the bedroom and the basement. Would I gain much if I rewired with rg 6?

If you are over 50 ft from the receiver to your Tv's you probably would clear up a little snow on the remote TV's. If you also have a long run from the antenna to the receiver (digitally speaking) you might pick up a couple of weaker stations by going with RG-6. Digital TV reception is an art not ascience, so only trial and error will tell for sure. dabig25 07-08-2007, 11:26 PM Signal loss over RG-59 depends on the length of the cable. Make sure you use steel braided RG6. highdefjeff 07-09-2007, 01:08 PM Signal loss over RG-59 depends on the length of the cable. Use the azimuth readings found at http://www.antennaweb.org Interpolate the "center" point of the azimuths. Quick example: if the azimuths range from 139 degrees to 156 degrees, point at 147. 2. Use a digital OTA signal meter. I use the Digiair Pro Signal Meter. It allows for up to 18 signals (6 per screen, 3 screens) to be measured, viewing 6 of them simultaneously. Happy HD Hunting!
