Just got the install yesterday... America's Top 100 + Locals in HD, got the ViP622 HD DVR too. The HD channels really pop on my new Panasonic TH-50PZ700U plasma!

Love all the HD channels... there must be 25-30 of them (including the 4 locals & HBO)... the best part is most of the channels in HD are the same ones we watched before on regular cable, so now that I've found the ALL-HD favorites setting (for surfing), I doubt I'll watch anymore SD channels.

Really like the HDNews, and the Rave HD (concerts, etc.) channels too... the HDNews actually seems like better news than CNN & others.

I did notice the ViP622 was running quite hot yesterday evening, heard what I guessed was a cooling fan running for an hour or 2 even after the power was turned off. I guess I'll move the very thin Samsung upconverting DVD player from the top of the ViP622 to another location.

Welcome...and no, you will never want to watch SD again. You will soon find that you are able to tell when some so called HD broadcasts are really shot in SD widescreen...FOX does that with some of its baseball games. You'll hate it! You will also notice how TNT uses "stretch-o-vision" on a lot of SD content on its HD channel...which looks aweful. Welcome to the world of HD Snobs. Yes, I am one and I only want to see EVERYTHING in glorious HD. :)
