Panasonic DMP-BD10A hdmi to DVi (hdcp)?
hdmi cable to DVi (hdcp) input projector/monitor?
Hi can anybody confirm this combination as working OK?
If so what firmware are you running?
Thanks Paul

Sorry I can't help you specifically to the Panasonic DMP-BD10A hdmi to DVi (hdcp)?
But I have an XA1 HD DVD player, a PS3, and Onkyo 604 receiver all connected to my display's HDCP compliant DVI input with a HDMI>DVI cable out from the 604, with no issues. I would be surprised if the Panny would have any issues.
Do you have any other HDMI devices connected, such as cable/satelelite STB or DVD player? if they're happy, so should the Panny.

As long as the source and display are HDCP compliant...it should work.

Thank you for your reply, reassuring, as i have major problems with new model Pana dvd recorder its hdmi not being prepared to allow up scaling to my Infocus 7205 projector! strange as PS3, oppo, and Sky Hd box all work flawlessly @ 1080i !
There i a small note in the Pana dvd "recorder" manual sating that its hdmi may not work correctly into "Dvi hdcp enabled inputs"

Well at least it's a known issue with that device. Most folks have to discover it for themselves with no support from the manufacturer. :)

I can say that I am using my Samsung BD-P1000 with an HDMI>DVI cable to Panasonic PT-L500U 720p projector without issue and I have never read of an issue with the Panasonic player and any properly implemented DVI HDCP compliant device. I can also say that I read about this crap a lot and although I can't guarantee it will work, I would bet money on it.
You want to run the most recent firmware with the Panasonic player, nothing else offers the optimal functionality for Blu-ray purposes in my opinion.

I have the DMP-BD10a and ran it with an HDMI to DVI to my Sony LCd and it worked FINE! I couldnt get my Onyko 605 to pass the picture . but the sound worked fine. I may have to reset the 605 to factory settings to get it to pass the Picture.
