I just upgraded to HD and have a 622. I live in the Dallas Fort Worth area. I receive 2 sets of HD channels for example NBC is on 05-00 and 6385. Is one any better than the other?
Thanks! Jeff

I'm also in the DFW area. NBC is Channel 5 on your lineup for convenience. They are the same channel, picture quality and everything. However if you purchase an antenna and plug it into the 622 and scan your locals, you will find that 005-01 has a little bit better PQ than 005-00. Plus channels like 21 and 33 not available in HD through Dish will be available with the antenna on channels 021-01 and 033-01. Of course the programming itself has to be in HD but adding an antenna to your setup gives you a few more options and the ability to record THREE programs at once with the 622.

Its well worth it IMHO if you can get OTA channels. This will allow you to record 3 things at once which is something I love about the 622.

Just don't confuse digital with HD. You have to have a digital transmission for HD.
But not all digital is HD.
Some stations have multiple digital transmissions (30-01, 30-02, etc.), and typically only one is used for HD broadcasting.
