Local HD Channels in Baltimore?

Does anyone know when the local HD stations will be available on Dish in Baltimore MD. When I got Dish 3 months ago they said within 6 months, but now another person says not sure if at all. I get the locals in regular, but sure would like to have them in HD. My install was great and service has been excellent, and I now have more HD channels then I did with Comcast and a better picture and a lot less expensive, but I was just wondering if there is a site to find out when the channels would be added.

Any chance of setting up an OTA antenna for digital channels? There is a good chance that if using a DishHD receiver, you will get all local OTA guide info too. Digital sub-channels as well along with HD channels Dish would not offer like MyTV, PBS and the CW in most areas but..

Wow! Did anyone notice what Dish did for Hawaii and Alaska? Some digital subs are even being broadcast over Dish satellite. Probably to compensate for the fact that they don't get Voom at this time.

And of course when that happens we will change to what providers we like the best. Many changes coming to all providers over the next 2 years. Local and National. Stay tuned.

Thanks Yes616, I got a cheap indoor/outdoor OTA from Radio Shack. I plugged it direct to the tv not thru my Dish receiver and was surprised to get the local ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC HD channels and the digital local weather channels. Reception pretty good at night if I hang the antenna off the curtain rod.
Just wanted to try to find out how long before Dish sends the signal so I don't have to put the antenna outside permanently.
Just have to switch the tv from HDMI to antenna to get them. This will do for now I guess.

I was told sometime before 2008 we will get the baltimore HD signals. What sucks is DC has them and I used to have Dc locals until the stupid rules changed. I live in an area where the cable company offer both dc and baltimore but i can only get baltimore via sat now! :( Comcast had Baltimore HD, DirecTV does too.....come on Dish!!!

Yeah, I saw that DC gets the HD locals from Dish, so why not Baltimore? Strange, Oh well I really like all the Voom channels, especially Monsters HD so I guess I can wait another 6 months.
