Closed Captioning Issues

Hello! I truly hope anyone of you can help me out with my frustrations that I am going through.

I have Dishnetwork VP-622. I am having problems with the CC on High Definition channels. I am from the Chicago area. The only CC that works on HD are as followed: ESPN, FOX, and CBS. It does not work on TNTHD, local NBC, local ABC, and other few channels. Is there any way to get it actual to work on HD channels? Please help me!

I am sorry that I can't offer help, but I am having the same problem. I have tried litrerally ALL of the settings and still, no CC on HD channels.

It might not be you. My understanding when I switched to HD was that not all of the stations, at the time, were actually putting out their CC on the HD stations. My guess would be that if you're getting CC on some channels your system is working properly. I'd be the problem is with the broadcasters. One question, when you say local NBC and ABC are not showing your CC...are you referring to the Dish version (i.e. 6306 and 6308) or literally the broadcast channel. (in LA they're 007-01 and 004-01). If it's the latter then I'd put money on that being ABC and NBC and not your set up.

Funny side note: As I'm typing this I'm loosing picture on my ABC HD channel. But the CC is working beautifully.
