Just wanted to put this here as well!! Does anyone know if Seagate is as good as Western Digital? I have a 160 Western Digital in my P4 3.0 now!! I've had it for about 3 years so I'm thinking it might go soon. Plus I have a crappy e-machines that I just bs on dont really use much on it but it is kinda slow. So if I get the 320 I could take the 160 format that drive and put that in the e-machines and have a 160 & an 80!!
Thanks for your help.

Seagate is a good drive, but you need to be careful that it is the same type of drive you need. Most 3 year old computers were still using the IDE drives and that price sounds like a serial ATA (SATA) drive. So just be sure it will work in your computer.

For my HTPC server I went with serial ATA drives in addition to the internal IDE drives it already had because of the cost savings. I just had to add a SATA card and an auxiliary power supply.

You got a decent deal. There are betters. I always check Newegg for good prices on computer parts and accessories.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822144188

And for the same price you paid, a 400GB drive. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148246

Now.. if you needed it today, then a store is always best.

Check out www.acronis.com - They have a program called true image. It would allow you to clone the 160 onto the 320. While it's an $80 program, the time savings might just be worth it.

Unless Seagate includes something that will do the same thing - I think some drive makers do.

Oh that would be awesome!! That would save me alot of time. I"ll check the manual and what software comes with it once I'm done with work.
Thanks again.
