I have a samsung HDTV LA32S7. and a hp pavilion dv5000 sries laptop.. it has a VGA out and the TV has a VGA In.. if i hoopk up the two.. will i be able to play hd content on the tv..
the video card i use is Nvidia GeForce Go 7400 And the tv supports 1360*769 Res..

Yes, VGA does support HD. Just try to pick the resolution that is close to your TV's native resolution of 1366x768 like you posted.

And MAKE SURE you pick 60Hz as the refresh rate or PC will not sync to TV
Just a trivia fact . . . VGA (RGBHV) is used to support:
2500x2000
5000x4000

thnx... so i jus connect the two. set the res and the refresh rate and play any Hd content on the laptop.. it shud work... i guess then..

Yep, that should be it. That is all I do when I connect my HP laptop to my plasma. I just right click on my desktop to call up my display properties and make my #2 display the "active display". It locks in at 1280x768 for my display and works great. Yours may differ. You can also try and force the display by hitting the funtion and F4 key.
