I have a Mitsubishi WS-65615 diamond series 65 HDTV and have the Directv rca dtc210 hi def receiver. I can get picture thru Component but when I try DVI I only get a blue screen. I have monolink w/my Mitsubishi Tv which is supposed to Automatically detect a signal from the receiver but I cannot get a picture. If i go into the TV settings there is a way to select the receiver but it doesnt list that RCA model. Dont know if anyone else has had the same problem and i am just overlooking something simple.

I not an expert but did you use DVI cable or component cables?

I have component hooked up and get everything fine but i have been told the best picture quality is thru DVI. I have DVI hooked up from DVI conection on receiver and DVI conection on tv but when i go to my monolink on the remote it just comes up a blue screen w/no picture or sound.

I looked up the television you have and it only lists HDMI input, no DVI. Is that what you mean when referring to DVI, or was i just viewing the wrong tv here? (http://www.mitsubishi-tv.com/televisions/details.asp?id=60)

I tried that but thanks. Two days after i got my TV the directv man came out and gave me a new Samsung hd receiver and proceeded to tell me what a crappy tv i have because it was over his head and he couldnt figure it out. I asked him to leave and messed around w/it for a couple of days and could only get component to work. Directv sent another tech out and said the receiver was bad so they then drop shipped me a refurb rca dtc210 receiver which i could not get to work and assumed there is know way i could get two bad reciever bad so I called the Mitsubishi servie rep to come out who order a complete new back panel for the TV and brought over one of his receivers and a good cable. after he replaced the board in the TV just for precaution he used the DVI cable he brought over and conected it to his receiver and i got picture instantly. I called directv and told them it had to be the receiver but requested a new receiver and not a refurb. I received the new RCA DTC210 receiver last night and i still can't get pictiure thru DVI.

Just an idea, my Mits 42" had a menu that you can turn all of the different inputs on or off. Have you tried that yet? Also check the setup menu on the box, you have have to check the DVI output. Good luck. Someone here in this forum will have the answer for you.

I have checked all of the tv on screen options. Turned them off and on and even deleted and readded and it doesnt see to do anything. The receiver has a switch on the back of it which i have tried but i can find anything in the menu w/the remote.

Well, I have a Mitsubishi WS-55813 and I have the same DVI issue, but with a different HD box (Hughes HTLHD). This receiver does have a type switch on the back to go between component and DVI, which I've set, but I get a black screen. The TV itself reads the proper resolution (1080i or 480p) on the channels, but no picture. I also set the TV for monlink connection. Have contacted DirecTV and Mitsubishi thinking I missed something, but it all seems to point to the HD box. Baffling...the temptation is to get a new HD box, but not sure which will work. I'm told the DVI connection is active on the Hughes box. I would love to find a solution for this as well as I'm out of answers at the moment...

I have gone thru three different HD receiver boxes with no luck..Dont know if it is a conflict with the built in receiver or not. When i go to select the receiver box there are others listed and i wonder if i had one of those models it would work. I am almost tempted to cxcl my account w/directv and go to dishnetwork of cable. I get good picture thru component but i would like to see if DVI is much better since i have the capabilities.

Out of curiousity, which HD boxes have you tried? I too have a very good picture with component connection but would also like to see the difference with DVI. I've also tried different DVI cables (single link, dual link, etc) with no success. I'm going to attempt to contact Mitsubishi again and see if I can find an answer. Tough one to figure out...

I have tried the new Samsung box and several of the same RCA box's. I am about to contact Directv and see if the will send me one of the hughes boxs which shows to be preprogrammed into my tv as one of the ones to select and see if that makes a diff. If not i will more than likely be contacting dishnetwork.
