INHD has a program called "Tune Up." This is a 15 minute program that offers the following test patterns with instructions on how to adjust your controls:
#1. 4 concentirc circles - for Brightness (Black Level) adjustment
#2. 11 concentric circles for Contrast (White Level) adjustment
#3. Multi Color concentric circles for Color and Tint Adjustment
#4. Convergence for CRT based Projection sets
#5. 5% and 10% safe action zones for overscan
They also have a small section of Audio Test Tones for DD/DTS 5.1 Level adjustment.
I live in FL and the next time it is on is I believe 2/11 @ 7:30 AM Channel 206 (Comcast)
As I have the HD DVR I was able to record it and make excellent use of it for my new Samsung 50" plasma. It really showed what happens to the level of Gray Scale when I choose bewteen the 4 different color temps and different picrure setting, what colors are being added...such as If I choose MOVIE mode I see that Green is being introduced where STANDARD seems ( at least to my eyes) no "tinting" is being done.
I had orginally planned to buy the HD Test Pattern Disc and as far as I am concerned...no longer need it. Anything deeper into adjustments other than what this program offers should be done by a professional of which I am not.
So If you get INHD do a title search for the program. It really helps. And can save you some money ( which I will probably use to buy another HDDVD instead).
