The PS4 will rule the universe with its 3TB optical drive (http://techfreep.com/3-terabyte-cds-in-the-works-at-harvard-labs.htm).

At least Glow wouldn't state an absolute lie for a thread title. If you got something Alra111, bring it. Otherwise, read and learn. ;)

That leads me to question, where in the world has Glow been the last couple days? It's not like him to be silent like this for this long of a period of time.

Glow said he was going on vacation for a week, so brace yourself for his return in a few days

Heh, PS3 fanboys are now hyping PS4. Thats proof that PS3 is dead with its small supply has already met and surpassed demand :D BTW, Bill Gate$ and M$ is expected to announce during CES that 360 has over 10 million sold. Not bad

You do know that you lose credibility when you do posts like this don't you?

The only mention of the maybe never PS4 is to mock Sony's decision to put a BD drive in the PS3 by saying it would be just like them to put a $20,000.00 drive in the PS4. :hithere: Here is the quote relating to the PS4:

"Unfortunately, with consumer Blu-ray and HD-DVD players running at $1,000 and $500 US respectively, the 3-terabyte disc is a long way from being commercially viable. While Capasso and his team have done several optical experiments to further investigate the technology, much of the work being done is strictly theoretical. Regardless, I don’t think it would surprise anyone if Sony tried to cram a $20,000 nano-antenna disc into the Playstation 4."

Of course we all know that the only way Sony would put such a drive in there products is IF they owned the tech and could force it down consumer's throats. For a huge Sony and BD fan you sure picked the wrong article link to post. :p

how much storage on a laser disc size quad layer BD disc? that's gotta be over 3TB.:D

Laser Disc was a Pioneer format though. Oh but wait, Pioneer is also on board with the BD format too. :p

I just meant that size in diameter. HUGE by todays standards. and probably impossible to keep level enough for BD at the edges. a strong sneeze might make it skip.

LOL, thank you, but I am quite aware of that. But sometimes it is so much to watch a brawl here that I thought I'd intentionally trigger one.

I thought that some would catch on by my use of the "rule the universe" phrase.

Only 8 replies, though, so far; I am a bit disappointed. :)

The last thing we need here is someone INTENTIONALLY trying to start arguements that might get out of hand. I am glad no one took the bait to get in a serious brawl about this silly thread.

How long will it be before Sony makes a profit with the PS3? Why worry about technology that is years in the future in a player that is years in the future.
