Leased Equipment Question

I currently own all the receivers I have but am on the list (supposedly) to get the new HD DVR which to my understanding is a leased unit.

When they say this "leased" does that mean there are additional charges on your bill to have this box or just that if you cancel, they get it back?

When I do get it installed, I plan to de-activate one of the current boxes I am using, so in my mind, the bill would remain the same.
Am I correct in that?

For owned equipment, you pay an "additional receiver fee" for each extra receiver. If it is leased, you pay a "lease fee" instead. They are the same amount. And you are correct, with leased equipment you return it to DirecTV if you cancel service.
