New 622 problem

Just got my 622 installed and it looks great. But after hooking it up to the HDMI it's really gotten crappy. My screen will go completely green but the audio will still play. I just switch inputs on the tv and go back and it returns. I also had it slowly go green with big green blocks. Then today, the whole screen went blue like the red was off. After a couple seconds it went back to normal. If I unplug the HDMI cable and plug it back in it's ok. Using a 10ft HDMI cable from monoprice. What's the deal??

Your cable may not be in correctly/all the way. Sometimes if i move mine the cable moves as well, if i jiggle the cable the picture is good.

If you do not have any luck, call dish and return it. My hdmi went out 3 weeks after i recieved my first reciever. They exchanged it and no problems with this one (except for the cable out of alignment).

I have had this for 3 days. I will try another cable first and see if that fixes it. It's just random. Like the info is not getting their or something.

The 622 used to have hardware failures with the HDMI port. Your description sounds suspiciously like that except I thought the newer units were fixed.

Tried a different cable. Same thing. I got a black screen a little bit ago and after 10 seconds it came back on. Looks like I will call Dish tomorrow.

Called Dish and my new box will be here in 4 days. I hope that fixes it.

Well my new box came and I installed it. Same problem. I have read that it's a problem with the software in the TV. At least I have a slot to upgrade the software on it. I guess I will use component for now. Still looks good but instead of using my TV as center I have to hook back up my center channel and find a way to mount it. Bummer, but I paid $680 for this TV brand new so can't really complain........

I have the 622 hooked up via HDMI and zero problems with excellent PQ. Me thinks it is your TV.

I have the 622 connected with a dvi to hdmi cable for 3 days and it went green once when i swapped tuners. But is fine overall my old comcast hd-dvr had trouble when i swapped tuners sometimes. It just wouldnt goto the other tuner.

It is the TV as I stated. There is a software problem with the 59 series sets.
