Smart card message

I posted sometime ago about the message your "smart card is not authorized". Someone on this board told me it was a Dish software problem. I have it quite often, but it usually goes away quickly. The other night it would not go away. I called Dish and talked to a very well informed lady. She had me run some tests and nothing worked until she had me unplug the receiver, that worked. She then told me if it continued to call and have them send me a new 811. My question is has anyone with this problem solved it with a different receiver? Thanks for any help.
