Programming for 4DTV dish

I own a 4DTV system which allows reception of both analog and digital programming, including HDTV. I understand that I need an HDD20 (?) Motorola supplied reception box with my satellite receiver to receive digital HDTV signals. I find very limited subscription programming, but I am told I can get signals such as Primetime WNBC and WABC in HDTV from my current signal with the box, as well as NEbraska Public TV in HD format. Can anyone clear this up? I do not intend to go to the small dishes, and if I cannot receive most HDTV I will simply go without. Thanks

This post has nothing to do with DirecTv. It is referring to C-Band.
