How Super is my Dish?

Hi All,

I have Dish Network and am looking to upgrade to an HD set-up. I don't have all the facts and figures (which dish, which receiver) but I do know the following. I have the Superdish on my roof with a big HDTV emblem on it, will that have to be replaced? I have the 622 DVR dual tuner (I'm guessing a bit at the number) which I know has to be replaced for high def tuner/receiver.

I'm new to the whole Dish Network and Satellite thing but if you truly have the ViP 622 then you should be ready to go. Although my guess is you probably don't because it is the HD DVR and I don't figure they would sell you that one if you didn't want HD at the time. Unless you expressed an interest in upgrading it soon. I'm no expert but I'm sure you could call them up and inquire about upgrading to HD and they can verify your equipment and let you know. It sounds like you have the right dish too.

If you have a superdish and 622 then you have the HD setup. All you need is an HDTV and you are set.

I have dish in Albuquerque and using a vip 211 which is HD I also get my locals in HDin the 8000 series. We have 2 HD plasma Tvs with 5.1 surround sound

It is great and new HD Programs coming each month

and I enjoy all major locals here in my area in HD.

I also have the HD Gold Package from dish
