Sunday evening, the Dish Tech showed up with the 622 I ordered to replace the two-month-old 211. For the most part, everything is working just dandy. Been playing with the DVR - I love that I can also record the OTA HD channels :D - and just getting it set up the way I had the 211.
One thing is bugging the he** out of me, though:( . All of my SD channels (Satellite and OTA) are showing in stretch mode, and no amount of prodding of the page up and page down buttons on EITHER remote changes anything, like it did on the 211.
I know I can't be in any mode that does utilize the page up/down buttons, as I used this feature successfully on the VIP 211. Unfortunately, it is a very under-documented feature, so I don't know if there is something I'm missing in my setup, or what. Under HDTV setup, I have selected "offair", "1080i" and "16x9".
HD programming shows normally.
I know it is not my set, as when I select "browse" from the remote, the on-screen info shows "stretch" in the box in the upper left.
I'm running the 622 in Single Mode. TV is a Sharp Aquos LC-37D40U, using HDMI connection to the 622.
If anyone has a suggestion, I'm all ears!
