I have a Dish 921 DVR hooked to my Panasonic 42" plasma.
I could not get a full screen on non HD channels- not matter how I adjust either the resolution on TV or 921-
Then this morning-- it worked fine- The screen was full- I didnt do anything
I rebooted the 921 dvr- and now can not get it again to Full screen-
Any ideas?

Probably depends on which channel you are viewing. When viewing a HD channel, the aspect ratio is fixed at 16:9 so the stretch to fill the screen will not work. If that channel is showing a 4:3 picture, you will just have to watch with the pillarboxes supplied by the channel. When you tune to a SD channel, like CNN for example, the stretch modes will again be enabled.

I am not very familiar with the 921. The 622 and 211 default to pillar box to preserve the OAR of the program. You can press the * button on your remote to cycle through different stretch options. I despise stretch/crop/zoom as it does nothing but distort the picture.
