I have seen a commercial, I think for the Voom channels and it has a song, something like "it was you and your smile that carried me thought... so give me just one reason..."
Who sings that?
Thanks for any help. I love the song.

I've been trying to figure that out as well with no luck
Here is what someone posted on the AVForums:
I think these are the lyrics - have transcribed them from the ad I think you're talking about - but I still can't find it by googling for any of it! Hope it helps. (Is a good tune)
Well I can see you had a rough day baby,
Well maybe I can loosen you up.
And I can see you need a refill baby
Well maybe I can fill up your cup.
And if we hear a slow song maybe we can hold hands
Dancing til the song ends then we'll look up
And if our eyes meet, smiles crack and arms don't fall,
Then we'll both know that we're gonna hook up.
And all the while it was you, it was you and your smile, that carried me from day to day
Give me one reason if you've got one reason, said there ain't no reason that we shouldn't get together tonight.
Give me one reason if you've got one reason, said there ain't no reason that we shouldn't get together tonight.

I did find this lady's # though... Maybe she can help:
VOOM HD Networks
Consumer PR
Sharon Kahn

I just talked with Sharon and she will be looking for an answer and will call me back. She was very pleasant and asked what I liked on Voom.
Good stuff.

It sounds like Evelyn "Champagne" King's song "Give Me One Reason". I'd be interested in who it is.

OK here is the info.
Artist is Adam Kling and Howard Dlugasch off an album called Summer Songs.
You can find the info for it on www.firstcom.com where apparently Voom purchased the license to use it in their commercial. I don't know if this song is commercialy available to the public though.

That site pretty much sucks... Can't download unless you buy a license~ I guess you could try searching Limewire but good luck!
Reminds me of a tune I heard on a commercial that I once looked around for... It was for a tire commercial I think, & I believe the song was called "It's a Beautiful Day" by Fisher...??? (It's been a while~) Anyway, turns out that Fisher sold the rights to either the tire company or some marketing firm, so the song was never released, only used for their commercial purposes... I think it's a shame, but maybe the artist(s) get some quick $$~ Oh well

I called as well, but no luck - just voice mail.
I emailed them too.
I found one of the creators/singers on MySpace here:
http://www.myspace.com/howarddlugasch
I get an error though everytime I try to send him an email message.
By the way... GREAT WORK in finding this information guys.
Are you detectives? :)
Thank you again

Paul,
Thanks for your interest in our music. If you are looking to license a particular track of music for either a broadcast or non-broadcast production, please call me so we can discuss your needs. If you are only looking to obtain music for personal use, I am sorry to say that we do not provide our music for those needs.
Thanks,

I've corresponded with the author of the song, Howard Dlugasch. He shared with me another great song. He's a fantastic artist and will hopefully have some work publically available, but I'm not positive.
Good stuff and a great guy.

Naw... I'm no detective. I just know what it's like to search fruitlessly for years for a song you want...
I looked for a long time for a song from the movie Nil By Mouth by Gary Oldman. If you haven't seen the movie, you should check it out... Anyway, in the movie, there was a part of a song that played during a particularly emotional moment which stuck in my head. From the credits, I was able to determine it was called "Pandora" & was credited to someone named "Frances Ashman".
Problem was that there was never a soundtrack released because there was some conflict with Eric Clapton as some of his music is in the movie.
To make a long story short, I eventually got an awesome mp3 copy of the song from a guy in England, and coresponded with one of the artists named "Xfile" from England. She gave me a lot of background on the song & how it was written. Very cool... It only took about 5+ years (at LEAST) to track down!!! :D

Yes... This is true to some extent. I know it's happened more than once that when I finally found a song and "re-listened" to it, I wondered why it had stuck in my head for so long in the first place. :o
