I had a message this morning on my Dish that my hard drive was corrupt and in order to fix it everything would have to be erased. It gave no option other than to click ok. The DVR shut off for a few minutes and then came back on but I hadn't lost any recordings.
Has anyone else seen this message?

No, but I would not worry about it unless it becomes a regular thing.
Sometimes error messages pop up for more than one reason, and they are designed to assume the worst scenario in case something goes wrong during a reset, etc. operation.
Might check the Dish forum at www. to see if others have had a similar message.
Had this happen once in the one month I have owned the 622 system.
I had this happen twice last month. Nothing erased. No probs since.

quite a bit of discussion at dbstalk
Doesn't seem to do anything but re-boot. I didn't lose my recordings. Happened last week to me.
