Hi guys, didn't know where else to ask this. Can i use a set of diplexors to carry an ota signal on the same line as a cable feed? Setting up a HTPC for a coworker, and they need to share a line for both the cable and antenna.
thanks

Noo diplexers are designed for cable, ota with satellite signals.

Cable and ota diplexers are rated from 50-850mhz and satellite uses frequency 950-2150mhz.

No, the reason is because they both are at the same frequency band. Satellite signals and OTA are different bands except for the new AT9 dish and diplexors do not work with that system either as the new signals share the OTA band.

thanks guys. knew you would know the answer rbinck. i'm trying to set up a htpc at a coworker's house. they have a junction box that will either send the attic antenna or the cable signal to the faceplate near the tv. up until now, they have been using it for antenna, but recently signed up for cable. now i need to route both to the new pc. is there anything out there i can use? or do i just need to pull some new cable?
