hdridge 11-01-2006, 07:10 PM Looking at what on the market for Component switchs. I got the one Best Buy sells, Psyclone Source Selector PSC01, 4 to 1. Costs was $106. Worked OK until you leave two devices on, I get noise (scan lines) from one device spilling over to the other. I have to turn off the HD DVD when watching the HD DVR. But not the other way. Strange. Anyway. I may return the unit because of the noise issue. Does anyone know of any other units to consider?
Lenexpo 11-01-2006, 07:28 PM I would suggest Atlona HD-5470 or Audio Authority 1154A, both will work ok for your application. There would be no noise if even all 4 sources are on.
We sell both of them
Bigloww 11-01-2006, 07:33 PM Here is a good 1 with remote and optical outs. My cousin got it for $70 here.

But someone else posted this link for $50.

Lenexpo 11-01-2006, 07:47 PM This switch has a very low bandwidth and will not carry the full spectrum of colors and such. Remember you need at least 37Mhz per input. This switch is designed for video games and progressive scan dvd players

Found the Atlona on your site but not the Audio Authority. What is the differences?
Rob3000 11-01-2006, 08:21 PM Keydigital.com. Especially if you want to control these using a universal remote.

1154A ( Audio Authority ) has no remote; however it is a fuly automatic switch. If one of the components is turned on then switcher will route the signal to the output.
1154A also has digital audio connections, when Atlona only has analog audio.
Thanks

I kind of like the Atlona (because of the IR remote, to use with my Harmony). Any current discount coupons/specials on this unit?
hdridge 01-20-2007, 12:13 PM Finally got around to returning the Psyclone, It was way past the Best Buy return policy so they let me take in store exchange, So I got four HD DVD's (more then I expected). I went with a JVC unit that Radio Shack now sells off the web. Works fine but no remote control.
rbinck 01-20-2007, 02:12 PM Which one is that? The model I have didn't come with a remote, but can be programmed to buttons on my remote. For a universal remote, just add a device you don't currently have and pick 4 buttons for it. It worked fine.
Maybe they have a new one? Cat No. ?
llroy 01-20-2007, 08:21 PM I use the impact acoustics component switch, it is said to have a video bandwidth of 50mhz which supports 480i to 1080i. I know the price is cheap (under 50.00 )but I have found no loss in picture resolution or audio quality.

Its the JVC JX-S111, it does not support a remote, its manual only (sorry for the confussion on that). Seems to work just fine. I have three units (FiOS HD, HD-DVD and Sat HD) running at the same time and no signal leaking.
