I'm not sure if the problem is with the 622 but I will start here.. I have recently noted a problem with HD quality on my 50" Panny monitor.. The HD channels, whether OTA or SAT, seem not as crsip or defined as usual and I see more pixelation and or softening of the picture, but like I said there is a lack of "crispness or defination" for a lack of better terms.. I have the 622 hooked via HDMI to an IR HDMI switch box into the HDMI blade in the back of the Panny with no changes since the install if this may help.. This is the first problem I have had with my setup since the install way back at the first of the year so I guess I can thank my lucky stars for that..
I am going to give Dish a ring tomorrow and see what they can come up with and I will also post my problem in the Panny forum just in case it's a problem with the TV and I might have to tweek it..
Any constructive input on this will be greatly appreciated

Have you tried connecting through components output of the 622?
The problem could be with the HDMI output which is a problem on some 622s.
The picture quality should be much equal to HDMI. If you still have the same problems look elsewhere.

Check in the menu to see if the res got set to 480i or 480p. This will cause pq to suffer. Set it to 720p and all will be good. If this is not the problem then try connecting the HDMI output directly to the TV. I can't see it making a difference since HDMI is a pure digital interface and you either get it or you don't.

Well I got off my dead duff and threw in the DVE, after checking all HDMI connections and making sure the resolution was set right in the 622, did some contrast, brightness and sharpness adjustments and the problem was in the Panny plasma..
I have noticed in the past and present a problem with audio clipping at least once or twice in an hour, it only lasts what seems like a millisecond, every so often. Has anyone experienced this??
Thanks folks as always..

The audio problem you speak of has been reported many times. It seems to be a fault of the HDMI connection. Try connecting the audio with coaxial, optical or analog. That should solve your problem.
